"Crazy Bruce"

I'm sure you're wondering about the title. I assure you the name comes from him, not us. Bruce is from Proctorsville, VT and consigns regularly in the store. Yesterday he called to ask if he could bring some things from his barn so he stopped by in the afternoon. Now this should be a half hour tops unload his vehicle and inventory the merchandise. But Bruce likes to tell stories and he has one for everything that he brings us!

We have been working in the store all morning and I wanted to share some pictures with you of the inside. Going through Bruce's "picks" will take the rest of the day and then Emily has a soccer game ( Go Putney!). Will post again soon!

Rainy Sunday

Hi to all on a rainy fall afternoon. We went to church this morning. The store is open this afternoon and it is slow. George Rose came by first thing and we had a nice talk about the business and Tallulah's. He is thinking of consigning here so I look forward to talking to him again. We need furniture! And Art, really. If anyone reads this we are accepting consignments. Store hours are Thursday - Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 12-5. Phone 1-802-387-3060.
We also had a visit from Judi Joseph who consigns here at Moss Hollow. Her specialty is new jewelry made from mixes of vintage pieces with new findings. Look for photos soon. She does a great job and her prices are great. Think Christmas gifts here, folks! I have already squirreled away some nice earrings to give as gifts. Sissy is sitting on my lap so I'm blogging one-handed. Will post again soon!

Bird Houses

Tim and I just got a visit from Josh Steele. He ansd his friend Sarah Rice are consigning their unique hand made birdhouses here at Moss Hollow. Made from recycled wood such as game boards, cigar boxes, antique crates, yardsticks, etc... we think they are super cool!
Check them out at www.thisoldbird.blogspot.com. You can purchase them online by emailing me at mosshollowantiques@yahoo.com.
Enjoy the bird houses and have a great day!

Busy Day

I love days like this, Indian Summer for sure! If you haven't yet, scroll down and check out my facebook page. I have been busy all day posting pictures and guess what I found? Lots of old friends from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School....whew! Hello to you all, hope you are linking and checking out my blog!
The store has been reasonably busy and Cassidy has been exploring the house all day. (we finally gave up on the gates). My neighbor Susan stopped by to consign some things and we had a great chat. Hope you are all enjoying your day and I will post again soon. Love to you all,
Sheri

Second Chance

Hi again from Moss Hollow Antiques! The first blog I forgot to save after all that typing. So here goes again...

My name is Sheri and my husband, Tim and I run this little shop in Putney, VT. We rent the entire building and live in the front with our daughters, Cassidy (Sissy), Emily and Nicole. We have 7 children in all (yes you read that right) The older children are out on their own now. Tim Jr. (24) and Cory (22) both work and live close by and Jon is away at Fisher College in Boston. Our oldest daughter, Tabitha has just had a new baby girl and our first grandchild, Adrienne. (Look for pictures soon).

Like I said, we live and work in the same place and it is very convenient! Our store carries a wide range of items like furniture, art, jewelry, local art, antiques, vintage items and stuff that is just plain cool!

Please check back for updates and news from the "Hollow".

PEACE to you,
Sheri
